NATIONWIDE SEARCH FOR NEW TALENT RESUMES

ALL STAR, Europe’s longest established wrestling organisation has completed 40 years of operations but is not resting on its laurels. All Star is constantly looking to the future and with this new website now up and running our Talent Search is re-launched with aspiring wrestlers throughout the land invited to submit details of their age, height, weight and experience, together with a recent picture to: talent@allstarwrestling.co.uk. TWO MAJOR CHAMPIONSHIPS AT STAKE IN MAY SPECTACULAR AT CROYDON’S FAIRFIELD HALLS

‘Cincinnati Kid’ Chad Collyer and Joe Legend launch major title bids at Croydon.

Already with two major international belts to his name, top globetrotter Joe Legend will be bidding for a championship hat-trick when challenging home favourite ‘Xtreme' Dean Allmark for the highly prized Superslam crown during All Star Wrestling's Croydon spectacular at the Fairfield Halls on Friday May 20 - and also returning for a title mission on the same night will be the fiercely competitive ‘Cincinnati Kid’ Chad Collyer. After a succession of Croydon afternoon presentations, this event sees wrestling back in its time honoured evening spot with a 7.30pm bell time and, to make the occasion go with a bang, a free child ticket will be offered for every adult ticket purchased or, for every child ticket bought, there will be a second free!

It will be the toughest test for Wirral-based Allmark since he first won the title defeating 'Bad News' Brown at Hanley, Stoke on Trent, back in October last year. Canada-born Legend, who now campaigns out of Hannover, Germany, is already holder of the Pan-Pacific heavyweight championship along with German Stampede Association honours and earned this Superslam clash defeating Justin Starr in a Fairfield Halls eliminator during All Star's March bill.

Legend will not be without North American support with the programme also bringing appearances by the two ton ‘American Avalanche' P.N.Neuz and the equally well travelled Collyer who is flying-in specifically to launch a bid for the world heavy-middleweight title and the belt Mikey Whiplash brought back to Britain in 2009 by defeating French holder Thomas La Raffa in a memorable Croydon clash. Once fought over by ring legends like ‘Rollerball’ Mark Rocco and Scotland’s Chic Cullen, the much-prized heavy-middleweight title is an irresistible target for Collyer, a transatlantic star who has made a big impression by favouring the European wrestling style.

Josh Faulkner will be bidding to add to his growing reputation in the Fairfield Halls event.

In addition to another appearance by Mexican style luchador El Ligero, the Croydon line-up will also include London's own schoolboy sensation, 15 year-old Josh Faulkner from Pimlico; and popular heavyweight muscle machine Domino. There will also be a Croydon debut for the most colourful and controversial new tag team combination, Football Hooligans Bud and Bex and ladies action including blonde south coast stunner Miss Erin Angel. Tickets are now on sale to personal callers at the Fairfield Halls box office or can be booked by telephone to 0208-688-9291.

Champions Face Football Hooligans in Woodville Hall's Seasonal Finale

All Star 's current season of Gravesend events is set to end with explosive tag team action on Wednesday June 1 when popular champions James Mason and Dean Allmark (pictured left) enter the Woodville Hall ring to take on the uncompromising combination of Bud and Bex, the self-styled Football Hooligans (pictured left). London favourite Mason and Cheshire-based partner ‘Xtreme' Dean produced an impressive April display to earn the meeting with the hard-hitting Hooligans, the all heavyweight pairing who have forced their way into prominence since the beginning of the year.

Starting at 7.30pm the Gravesend line-up, in which All Star will be out to prove once again that nothing matches the atmosphere and value for money offered by its live wrestling events, also includes top solo contests including a meeting between high flying lighter stars with masked Mexican style luchador El Ligero targeting the always outspoken 'Prima Donna' Nathan Cruz. Reputations will be on the line in an international heavyweight showdown as long haired ‘Liverpool Lad' Robbie Brookside faces two ton globetrotter the 'American Avalanche' P.N.Neuz and the ladies will be staking a claim for a slice of the limelight as Norfolk force Miss Britani Knight takes on South Coast contender Erin Angel.

Erin Angel bids to add to her growing stature while ‘Superstar’ Mal Sanders renews old rivalries.

There will also be a blast from the past for Gravesend fans with a special legends match between two stars well remembered from ‘World of Sport's' Saturday afternoon televised programmes as 'Superstar' Mal Sanders renews a blistering and seemingly never ending rivalry with Peckham's master tactician, the former British and European lightweight belt holder Steve Grey. Sanders first made his wrestling name when defeating the redoubtable Mick McManus at London’s Royal Albert Hall to establish himself as European middleweight champion and despite officially retiring from the ring a couple of years back, he still can’t resist the chance of coming back for special matches like this one. Tickets, including a special family offer for two adults and two children under 16, are now on sale at the Woodville Hall box office, Tel:01474-337774. There will be further news from the Wrestlecall telephone hot line, updated twice every week, on 09068-121884 and with a call cost of 60pm min.

Little Legs Returning to Action

Two stars from completely opposite ends of the weight scale are eager to get back into action after both finding themselves hospitalised during April. Twenty-stones plus heavyweight force Karl Kramer (pictured left), a veteran of a couple of decades of worldwide battles in which he is rarely laid-low, was unexpectedly knocked-out by a bout of pneumonia. Now he’s back and hopeful of building a powerful new tag team partnership with another of the ring’s most imposing contenders, the bearded Colossus Kennedy. Meanwhile Little Legs, alias 3ft 6in tall ring dynamo Mark Sealey from Oxford, seen on the left, needed a spot of surgery but is also keen to pick up the wrestling strings with early summer appearances at the Butlins resorts in Skegness, Bognor Regis and Minehead.
